Freestyle Custom guitars are handcrafted, one at a time, by Eric Gale in North Carolina. Each instrument is built with intention, precision, and close attention to every detail.

Custom builds typically range from $2,500–$4,500 USD, depending on materials and specifications.

Because annual production is intentionally limited, Freestyle Custom operates on a structured Build Reservation system. This ensures clarity, fairness, and a focused experience for every client.

1. Reserving Your Build

A $750 non-refundable reservation deposit secures your place in the production queue.

This deposit is applied toward the final cost of your guitar. Once received, you’ll receive confirmation of your position in line along with an estimated production start window.

2. Entering Production

When your build reaches active production, a 20% production deposit is required.

The remaining balance is due upon completion, prior to delivery or shipment.

3. Material Selection & Customization

As your build approaches its start date, you’ll be invited to participate in selecting the materials and specifications that shape your instrument.

You may choose from available tonewoods, fretboard materials, hardware finishes, and pickup voicing options. While many players choose from our signature pickup collection by Tom Brantley, you are free to select the components that best match your vision.

Selections can be made through curated photo galleries, live video consultation, or in-shop appointments when available.

4. Timeline Transparency

An estimated production window is provided at the time of reservation.

Typical wait times range from 8–12 months, depending on current workload. Because each instrument is built individually by hand, timelines may adjust slightly to preserve quality and attention to detail.
